Government wants to increase tax on flying
EasyJet is running a petition to bring awareness
to passengers who face a further increase in the aircraft flying
tax meaning that if implemented air fares will increase yet further.

The Torrevieja based "Virgen del Rocio" association, making
use of their premises in Calle Azorin, Nº.80 near the centre
of Torrevieja, are now able to offer reasonably priced classes in
Spanish language for international residents with a qualified native
Spanish, English speaking teacher.
Classes on offer are at three levels: 'Beginner', 'Intermediate'
and 'Advanced' and a minimum group of 10 students are required to
start a new course.
Each course consists of two hours each week (plus some homework,
of course!), lasts for three months and costs a very reasonable
30 euros per month. Students would also be required to purchase
their own course books from the popular and successful "Español
2000" series (authors: Jesus Sanchez Lobato and Nieves García
Fernández) which cost around 20 euros from all quality bookshops.
If you would like to learn Spanish and can get together a small
group of a minimum of ten club members, friends, neighbours etc.
contact the Spanish teacher direct. She will be able to speak to
you in English (but only for the time being!!)

so that the correct information is maintained. The ARPO newsletter
is also distributed via e-mail where possible and so to ensure that
you receive copies regularly please ensure that we do have your
correct address.

It
is intended that details on the next two events will be published
on this page. In the past few months we have enjoyed a car
treasure hunt, golf matches, walks etc. If you have ideas
for future social activities please give details to the Mike
Peters or any other member of the committee.

you are unable to attend the normal monthly meetings at Sacko's
Bar then check this page. Give the nominated contact a call
if you wish to make reservations. Normally at least 7 days
notice is required so that final numbers can be given to the
restaurants for booking confirmations.
